Print On Demand (POD)

Print On Demand (POD)

What does POD means? You may have asked yourself this sometime in your life, well get ready because here is the answer:
POD stands for Print On Demand.
Print on Demand is a form of business in which the object that it's on sale it's not produced until it has a buyer.
This is often done with books, art prints, paintings, photos and all kind of customized items (such as: wall clocks, mugs, greeting cards, business cards, t-shirts, magnets and all you can think of...).
So, if you are a creative person, you can make a fair amount of money puting your photos, designs, illustrations and/or stories in a Print on Demand site.

How does it work?

  • You, as a creative person, go to a POD site and upload, tag and describe your creative product (often a photo, design, paintings illustration, book...) and, in some cases you put them in tons of different items.
  • Merciful people looking for creative products go to a POD site hoping to find things in which spend their money.
  • Merciful people will find and buy your creative product.
  • You make money.
The money you make and how is calculated differs a lot from one POD site to the other, so I'll explain how each of them works on the specific posts of the different POD sites. But, as with the Microstock agencies, you generally can sell an unlimited number of times the same product, so once you upload them, you can continue making money for the rest of your days without doing nothing (a little bit of self-marketing would make it easier though)
Also, some of the Print on Demand sites count with referral and affiliate programs.
